Spring Fling

We are...Penn State,

As the weather warms up, it's usually a sign that Spring Fling is just around the corner and that the last remaining weeks of the semester are upon us.  Join the campus community for a fun day from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the annual Spring Fling on April 21.  Free food, free entertainment, and good times!  No rain means we will be outside in the Williams Lawn.  Rainy weather will move the event to the Main Arena in the Community Center.

Brand new this year, there will be a Spring Fling dance from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Student Center, also on April 21.

Only 2 more weeks before finals, keep up the great work!

Until next time,
Nittany

Together Without Limits at Fayette

We are...Penn State!

We are so proud!  There's a lot to be happy about at Penn State Fayette!  The women's basketball team made it to University Park for the PSUAC play-offs!  Our ladies represented our campus so well and advanced to the semi-finals for the first time!  Great job!

Also at University Park this past weekend, the Penn State Fayette THON team helped contribute to the $9,500,000.00 raised by over 15,000 students (all for the kids and the Four Diamonds Fund), the most ever raised in Penn State THON history!  For more details, be sure to visit www.THON.org

Until next time,
Nittany

Winterfest

We are...Penn State,

I should put, "we are...cold" too.  We have seen a record month of cold for January.  Hopefully mother nature is nicer to us in February.

The cold weather though has its perks.  All this week, Winterfest will be occurring.

Today, an ice sculptor was on campus giving away ice creations on the spot.  In addition, he made nice a replica of ME, The Nittany Lion!

Throughout the rest of the week, there will be a snowman building contest, ice skating trip, free ice cream creations, and a ski trip to Seven Springs.

For more information, see Chad in the Student Activities Office.

Last but not least, THON is 18 days away!  More to come later!

Until next time,

Nittany

We are...Penn State!

Warm weather helps to make me one happy lion!  With all of this great weather, the 13th annual Spring Fling comes to mind as being a fun way to unwind before finals.  There's just about a week left of classes, so come relax and have fun from noon until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 22 at the front lawn of the Williams Building.  There will be food, games, inflatables, music, and much more!  This event is free for all students to enjoy, so be sure to stop by!

Wednesday, April 28 will be our annual Campus Clean Up day!  Make your way to the Community Center at noon by the fountain to see how you can help.  Particpants will receive a free Campus Clean Up shirt and free pizza for your hard work!

Lastly, Friday, April 30 at the Holiday Inn in Uniontown will be the 43rd annual Student Awards Banquet.  This event is to honor the hard work of all our students from Penn State Fayette throughout the school year.
