Located on nearly 100 sprawling acres in the heart of Fayette County, Penn State Fayette is conveniently situated between Uniontown and Connellsville, adjacent to the scenic Laurel Highlands.
Established in 1965, Penn State Fayette offers the benefits of a small college atmosphere with Penn State’s world-class quality education.
We offer six bachelor degree programs, seven associate degree programs, and the first two years of more than 160 Penn State degrees.
The campus offers a wide variety of certificates and nondegree programs, classes, and workshops for professional development and personal enrichment.
Typically, about 1,100 students are enrolled at the campus. The average class size is 22 students.
Most are local residents, but students from across the country and around the world also attend the campus. Our students represent eight states and five countries.
We are one of the few Penn State campuses with support services and housing specifically for international students.
The student population is a mix of primarily traditional-age students and about 30 percent nontraditional students.
More than 90 percent of our students receive scholarships, grants, loans, and/or other financial assistance.
The diversity of Penn State Fayette’s students, faculty, and staff ensures a rich social and interpersonal experience.
Students can participate in more than 25 clubs and organizations on campus.
The campus features eight athletic teams—men’s and women’s teams that compete in the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
We host dozens of events that engage the community each year, including CEO Conversations speakers series, performing arts, and more.
The campus’ Penn State Library serves the campus community and the public alike, offering the facilities and resources of the Penn State library system at no charge to the public.
