Spend a Summer Day at Penn State Fayette
The Admissions Office at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, invites local residents considering a higher education to Spend a Summer Day June 25 learning about the University while enjoying a barbeque featuring Penn State’s renowned Creamery ice cream and other fun activities.
This event will be a unique way for prospective students to get details about Penn State Fayette’s academic programs, admissions requirements, financial aid, and student life. There will be tours of the campus as well as opportunities to meet with faculty members, admissions officers, alumni, and current students. Attendees can learn about Penn State’s 160-plus majors, including bachelor and associate degrees that can be completed locally at the Fayette campus and at other campuses in the University system.
According to Penn State Fayette’s Director of Enrollment Management Robert Tallerico, this event is an excellent alternative to the traditional search for colleges. He said, "When prospective students Spend a Summer Day with Penn State, they have the opportunity to experience both the academic and social elements of the Fayette campus and University as a whole. These types of informal programs are really the best way to experience everything that a campus has to offer and guide a student's college search."
