Pittsburgh Foundation President to Speak in Fayette’s CEO Conversations Series

Grant Oliphant, who leads one of the nation’s oldest and largest community foundations, will speak at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, April 16, as part of the CEO Conversations program. This event, which is free of charge and open to the public, will take place from noon until 1 p.m. in the Student Center, located in the Williams Building.

Prior to joining the Pittsburgh Foundation in March 2008, Mr. Oliphant served as press secretary to U.S. Senator John Heinz and later worked for The Heinz Endowments. He is founding editor of American Politics, a monthly political magazine.

Mr. Oliphant serves on the boards of local nonprofit and national organizations, including Grantmakers for Effective Organizations and the Council on Foundations’ Community Foundation Leadership Team. He is also chairman of the board of Riverlife and a board member of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

In addition to his bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College, Mr. Oliphant earned an M.S. in organizational development from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business.

CEO Conversations is designed to give students the opportunity to hear from and talk with key individuals in the local, regional and national business communities about business, entrepreneurship and leadership. CEO Conversations has been running annually since 2008 and is sponsored by Joseph A. Hardy III.
