Robert E. Eberly Jr. will share thoughts and insights with the 2013 graduating class of Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus on Saturday, May 4 as the featured speaker at the campus’ commencement ceremony.

Originally from Uniontown, Eberly earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Cornell University and a juris doctorate degree, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Following his retirement from the United States Navy General Counsel's Office, Eberly began a second career as an historian. He is the author of "Bouquets from the Cannon's Mouth," a history of Fayette County soldiers in the Civil War. Eberly is active in battlefield preservation, having served on the board of the Friends of the National Parks at Gettysburg. He serves currently as president of The Eberly Foundation.

Commencement will take place in Penn State Fayette’s Main Arena in the Community Center beginning at 10 a.m.
