Hines Ward to speak at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus
NBC Sports football analyst and former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward will be the featured speaker at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the Main Arena of the Community Center building at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus.
Ward is an on-site analyst for NBC’s Football Night in America and Sunday Night Football. He owns every receiving record in Pittsburgh Steelers franchise history, is a two-time Super Bowl Champion, the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XL, and a four-time Pro Bowler. Ward has dedicated his time off the field to the betterment of inner city and underprivileged youth in the Pittsburgh and Atlanta areas. His Helping Hands U.S. Foundation focuses on improving literacy among children and will provide programs and services to better equip them for achieving and handling success in life. Abroad, his Helping Hands Korea Foundation (formed as a tribute to his mother) has targeted biracial discrimination, especially as it occurs among the children of Korea.
Tickets are free and will be available to students, faculty, staff, and the general public beginning on October 15, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets will be distributed in the Cultural Center of the Williams Building on Monday, October 15 and Tuesday October 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Two free tickets per adult will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
