Musical Performance by Galen
Celebrate Black History Month and join Penn State Fayette, the Eberly Campus for unique opportunity to celebrate and experience an educational musical performance by master flautist Galen Abdur-Razzaq. The performance will take place on Thursday, Feb. 9 at noon in the Community Center Cafe. This event is free admission and open to the public.
Galen is a flautist from Montclair, New Jersey who has performed both domestically and internationally for over 30 years. A former student of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and a graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, Galen holds a master's degree in fine arts and education. He is an arranger, composer, director, educator, and writer.
Because of his intellectually stimulating lectures and powerful jazz performances, Galen is considered one of the most popular artists on university and college campuses in the country.
This performance is sponsored by the Coalition for Equity, a group that invites those on campus and in the community to participate in activities that explore social differences and cultivate respect for diversity.
