March 17 event focuses on two-year degree options and careers
Anyone interested in fast-tracking a new career can learn about two-year degree options and the career opportunities they offer at a special open house at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus on Thursday, March 17. The “Think Two-year, Think Penn State” open house is designed to answer the questions of individuals who are looking to pursue a college education or looking to change careers but who envision a fast timetable to reach their goals. The open house will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. in Penn State Fayette’s Cultural Center in the Williams Building.
“Many potential college students fail to realize that a two-year degree can offer a fast track into many career fields,” explains Apryl Kadish, a Penn State Fayette admissions counselor. “Two-year degree programs allow students to quickly earn their degrees, begin their careers, and then, if they wish, continue their education once they are employed in their field or industry.”
Two-year degree programs that will be featured at the open house include Building Engineering Technology, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering Technology, Human Development and Family Studies, Information Sciences and Technology, Letters, Arts and Sciences, Mining Technology, Nursing, and Physical Therapist Assistant.
Penn State Fayette faculty and admissions and student aid counselors will be available to answer questions. The $50 application fee will be waived for perspective students who apply to Penn State at the event. Bring your official high school and college transcripts for an immediate admissions decision.
