Why Penn State? open house for high school seniors, adults and veterans April 12

4/4/2008 —
High school seniors who have not yet decided where to go to college, and adults and veterans interested in learning how a college education can help advance their careers, are invited to a special open house at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus on Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Joe Segilia, interim director of enrollment and student affairs, says, “It’s not too late for anyone to enroll at Penn State Fayette for the fall 2008 semester. Anyone interested in higher education opportunities at Penn State Fayette are encouraged to visit us on April 12 to find out why Penn State could be the right choice for them.”

High school students and adults will experience the open house as separate groups, but each will be able to meet faculty and current students, tour the campus, attend a mock class, learn about financial aid and the admissions process, and have lunch. Penn State Fayette offers six four-year baccalaureate degrees, 10 two-year associate degrees, and the first two years of more than 160 Penn State Majors. Segilia adds, “Anyone who applies to Penn State that day will save the $50 application fee.”
