Kathy Iannamorelli joined the staff at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus as the campus’ health services nurse. Iannamorelli’s new role is as much about providing health-related education to students and working as the campus disability liaison as it is about providing patient care when the need arises. “Working on a daily basis with students is wonderful and challenging. There are so many health-related issues that students should be aware of to stay healthy. And the students I have worked with so far are very receptive to learning about healthy lifestyles. I’m also looking forward to becoming a specialist in my disability liaison role,” Iannamorelli says.

Iannamorelli earned a bachelor of science in nursing from Penn State Fayette and her master’s degree in nursing from Carlow University. She has worked at Allegheny General Hospital, West Virginia University, Ruby Memorial Hospital, and Fresenius Medical Care. She has worked extensively with patients required to undergo life-saving treatments, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and plasmapheresis. Iannamorelli has volunteered her vacation time for many years with Dialysis at Sea, providing this life-saving service for individuals who travel on a cruise ship as an end-of-life dream trip. She has also been a part-time campus nursing instructor and has worked as a school nurse for continuing education programs.

Iannamorelli has lived in Uniontown for 25 years with her husband, Anthony, and their three children.
