David Di Pietro recognized for 25 years at Penn State
Art professor David Di Pietro honored for 25 years at Penn State Fayette Associate Professor David Di Pietro (right) was recognized for 25 years service as professor of art at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus. Recently, Dr. Evelyn Pluhar-Adams (left), professor of philosophy and Faculty Senate chairman, on behalf of Penn State, presented Di Pietro with an engraved plaque and cherry rocking chair to mark the milestone. In making the presentation, Pluhar-Adams reflected on the artistic gifts and inspiring teaching Di Pietro has brought to the campus and his students. “He is an extraordinarily generous man,” she observed. “Additionally, he was involved with the Penn State Students Abroad program for years, taking students to study in Italy for several summers.” Di Pietro is an accomplished artist, who regularly exhibits locally, regionally, statewide and nationally, and is represented in several galleries.
