“CEO Conversations” debuts at Penn State Fayette

Local businessman, philanthropist and Fayette County Commissioner Joseph A. Hardy III will be the first guest speaker in a new series of talks for students debuting at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus September 11.

An initiative of Penn State Fayette Chancellor Dr. Emmanuel I. Osagie, “CEO Conversations” is designed to bring the business community onto campus to give students the opportunity to hear from and talk with key individuals in the local, regional and national business world about business and entrepreneurship. “CEO Conversations” are planned to occur at least once a semester.

Joe Hardy is the founder and CEO of 84 Lumber Co., the largest privately-owned building materials supplier to professional contractors. He also founded Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, which is considered one of North America’s premier resort destinations. And, since 2004, Hardy has been serving as vice chairman of the Fayette County Board of Commissioners.
