Robert Kobet to speak at Penn State Fayette!
Penn State Fayette, the Eberly campus will host a distinguished speaker on Thursday, February 22. The event will be held in the Magerko Auditorium of the Community Center beginning at 6:30 PM. The public is invited to this free event being offered as part of the National Engineers Week celebration at the campus. The speaker, Robert Kobet, is currently the chair of the USGBC LEED for Schools Application Guide Initiative and is the contractor for development of the USGBC LEED for Contractors and Construction Managers Workshop. He brings world class experience design, construction and operation of high-performance schools. Bob's work includes sustainable design and development projects in eight countries on five continents including current projects in China, Haiti and around North America. In addition to his professional practice Bob has enjoyed a parallel career in teaching culminating in his position on the adjunct faculty of the Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture. He was instrumental in creating the country's first Master of Science in Sustainable Systems at Slippery Rock University, and was the first architect to obtain that degree.
