Evelyn Pluhar-AdamsAreas of Expertise/Research Interests: Logic, History of philosophy, moral philosophy. My articles, book chapters, and book (Beyond Prejudice: The Moral Significance of Human and Nonhuman Animals) mainly concern moral philosophy.
 
What do you like most about Penn State Fayette?  The small size, which allows me to get to know my students, have real discussions in class, and also makes it possible for me to learn from my colleagues in greatly different fields as we sit together at lunch or attend each others’ colloquia.
 
What do you like most about teaching at Penn State Fayette? The ability to teach classes that do not exceed 35 students.
 
What inspires students the most in you classes and/or your academic area? Anyone in search of wisdom will find much to think about in a philosophy class.
 
What is your favorite class project, and why? I have in-class debates in my introductory and ethics classes. These are always interesting!
