Individual Visits

A campus visit is the best way to make a college decision. Visiting our campus will help you become familiar with student life, the academic programs we offer, and our facilities.

SEPTEMBER


Adult Seminar: College Credits for Prior Learning Experience

Date: Tuesday, September 1

Time: 6:00  - 7:00 p.m.

Location: Corporate Training Center, Eberly Building

Do you have prior college-level learning experiences from another college or university, the military, the workplace, or through self-taught study? If so, you may be able to receive college credit for that knowledge you’ve already gained. This seminar will help you explore alternative paths to college credit acquisition.


Parent Prep 101

Date: Thursday, September 17

Time: 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Location: Swimmer Hall, Williams Building

If your child is thinking “college,” this program will help you understand what your child needs to do to prepare for college and how you can help in his or her success. You will learn how to help your child set expectations, research and apply to college, and apply for student aid.


Nursing Open House

Date: Wednesday, September 30

Time: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Location: Swimmer Hall, Williams Building

Prospective students are invited to learn about Penn State’s nursing  program. Learn about the degree and student aid, tour classrooms and labs, and meet faculty. View and participate in nursing demonstrations.


OCTOBER


Fayette County College and Technical Fair

Date: Thursday, October 1

Time: 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Location: Penn State Fayette Community Center

More than fifty universities, colleges, and technical schools from the tri-state area will be on hand to provide admissions information. PHEAA, EOC, student aid, and military personnel will also be available to answer your questions. Open to the public.


Adult Seminar: Blended Learning at Penn State

Date: Tuesday, October 6

Time: 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Location: Corporate Training Center, Eberly Building

Are you curious about blended learning, hybrid courses or online programs? These are all educational classroom options you can use to complete your Penn State degree. Find out how these options can work for you.


WCCC Transfer Day

Date: Wednesday, October 7

Time: 10:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Location:  WCCC, Youngwood Campus, Founders Hall

Penn State Fayette admissions staff and faculty will be on hand to speak to WCCC students interested in pursuing their bachelor’s degree in administration of justice, business, English, human development and family studies, liberal arts, nursing, and organizational leadership.


CSI: Fayette

Date: Thursday, October 8

Time: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Location: Corporate Training Center, Eberly Building

Administration of justice faculty and real professionals in the field will provide an overview of the criminal justice system and talk about types of employment. All attendees will experience live demonstrations and receive a free CSI: Fayette t-shirt.


Taste of Penn State

Date: Monday, October 12

Time: 10:00 - 1:00 p.m.

Location: Eberly Building

Experience life as a Penn State student by sitting in on two mock classes and enjoying lunch in our cafeteria. Finish the day with a campus tour.


Penn State Day

Date: Saturday, October 24

Time: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Location: Penn State Fayette Community Center

Prospective students and their families are invited to explore Penn State opportunities, meet with faculty and current students, tour campus, and learn how valuable a Penn State degree can be. Complete your application to Penn State Fayette that day and the $50 application fee will be waived. Don’t forget to bring your official transcripts.

11:00 a.m. to noon, Optional Tours of Campus, Community Center

12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Program, Community Center

Admissions counselors will be on hand starting at 9:00 a.m. to help in the application process.


NOVEMBER


Adult Seminars: Occupational/Career Outlook

Date: Tuesday, November 3

Time: 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Location: Corporate Training Center, Eberly Building

What college degrees lead to employment in Fayette County? This seminar will review the occupational outlook for jobs and the demand for those employees for the next ten years.


Veterans Day/Extended Tours

Date: Wednesday, November 11

Time: 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Location: Eberly Building

Take an all-inclusive tour of Penn State Fayette. Due to the length of the tour, participants are asked to dress in accord with the day’s weather and wear comfortable shoes. Veterans and active-duty military personnel will have the $50 application fee waived if they apply that day.

Two sessions to choose from: 11:00 a.m., Eberly Building. This session includes the campus’ Veterans Day memorial program.

"Think Two-Year, Think Penn State"

Date: Thursday, November 19

Time: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Location: Williams Building

Learn about associate degrees from Penn State Fayette and the job opportunities they prepare you for. Penn State faculty, admissions counselors, and student aid staff will speak to interested students. 

Complete your application to Penn State and the $50 application fee will be waived.


Application Workshop

Date: Tuesday, November 24

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Location: Eberly Building

Complete your application to Penn State Fayette and you may receive an admissions decision on the spot. Beat the November 30 application deadline. Apply at the workshop and the $50 application fee will be waived. Don’t forget to bring your official transcripts.
