Lecturer

Wayne Port    Wayne H. Port graduated from Uniontown Area Joint Senior High School in 1964.  He holds a B.S. in Business (Accounting) from The Pennsylvania State University (1968) and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (1971).  Attorney Port is currently a partner in the law firm of Margolis, George & Port, Attorneys at Law, where he began his career in 1971.  
    He practices in the fields of real estate, business law, commercial law, estate planning and administration and other areas in a general civil practice.  His professional activities include membership and past presidency of the Fayette County Bar Association as well as membership in the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and solicitor for the Wharton Township Zoning Hearing Board, and was previously solicitor to the Frazier School District, and has been General Counsel to the Fayette Chamber of Commerce for over thirty years and the Fayette Industrial Fund for ten years. His community activities include being a long-time member and former director of the Uniontown Rotary Club, membership on the Board of Directors of the Redstone Foundation and the Board of Directors of the Penn State Fayette Alumni Society (treasurer – 1999-date).  He has been a member of the Advisory Board of Penn State Fayette, the Eberly Campus since 1988 and has chaired that Board since 1994. He taught BA 243 since 1998 and previously taught continuing education courses for the paralegal certificate for the campus.
        He is an active and highly respected member of the community. As evidence of his outstanding public service, Wayne was honored with Penn State Fayette’s 1998 Public Service Excellence Award, the Fayette Lodge B’Nai B’Rith’s Chai Award in 2000, the Fayette Chamber of Commerce Circle of Excellence Award in 2000, and was named Outstanding Fellow of Penn State, the Eberly Campus in 2003.
